HIVIZ CT2009 Fiber Optic Sight with Interchangeable LitePipes, 1911 Front Sight – Wide Tenon Style
HIVIZ Interchangeable Front Sight for Colt 1911 pistols. Fits most wide tenon 1911’s. Includes three Green, two Red, and one White replaceable LitePipe.
FIT NOTES:
Fits most wide Tenon 1911’s and can be narrowed to fit early narrow Tenon 1911’s.
Interchangeable fiber optic front sight includes six light pipes in various colors. Compatible with all wide tenon Colt 1911 models. Tenon can be narrowed to fit early models.
HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVE A WIDE OR NARROW TENON FRONT SIGHT:
Measure the width of the blade (part of the sight that sticks up from the slide.) If it’s 1/8″ (.125″) wide, you have a wide tenon. Narrower, and you have a narrow tenon (assuming they’re OEM sights.)
Another tip: Look inside the slide. The 1/8″ tenon will be fairly obvious. The narrow tenon is about half the apparent width, i.e. 1/16″.
NOTE: Can be narrowed to fit early narrow tenon 1911s ( Recommended this to be done by a gunsmith, return on altered sights will NOT be accepted )
